Send us your measurements.

At Modern Formals, we value your time and strive to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible. That's why we offer an online measurements form, so you can send in your measurements from the comfort of your own home. This added convenience allows us to provide you with the perfect fit, without having to schedule an in-person appointment. Also a perfect option for out-of-town guests who may be unable to make it in person.

HOW TO MEASURE

  1. Pants Waist:

    • Use a flexible measuring tape.

    • Wrap the tape around your natural waist, where you usually wear your pants.

    • Keep the tape snug but not tight, and ensure it is parallel to the ground.

    • Record the measurement in inches.

  2. Outseam of Pants:

    • Wear a pair of well-fitting pants and stand up straight.

    • Measure from the top of the waistband down to the bottom of the pant leg.

    • Make sure the tape follows the outer seam of the pants.

    • Record the measurement in inches.

  3. Hip Measurement:

    • Stand with your feet together.

    • Place the measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks.

    • Ensure the tape is parallel to the ground.

    • Record the measurement in inches.

  4. Chest Measurement:

    • Stand with your arms relaxed at your sides.

    • Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits.

    • Keep the tape snug but not tight, and ensure it is parallel to the ground.

    • Record the measurement in inches.

  5. Shirt Size (Collar):

    • Measure around the base of your neck where the collar of a shirt would sit.

    • Insert one finger between your neck and the tape for a comfortable fit.

    • Round up to the nearest half-inch for your collar size.

    • Record the measurement in inches.

  6. Shirt Sleeve Length:

    • Bend your elbow slightly and place your hand on your hip.

    • Start measuring from the center back of your neck, just below your collar.

    • Run the tape over your shoulder, along your bent arm, and stop at the wrist.

    • Record the measurement in inches.

Remember to stand naturally and not hold your breath while taking measurements. Having accurate measurements ensures a better fit when shopping for clothing online or ordering custom pieces.
